I moved to Falmouth four years ago with my family, drawn by the strength of its schools and the sense of community that surrounds them. As a parent of a seventh grader and a ninth grader, I experience our schools from multiple vantage points each day, and that perspective grounds my work on the School Board.

Over the past three years—serving as Vice Chair, Chair of the Superintendent search, and now Chair of the Board—I’ve worked to provide consistent, steady leadership with a clear focus on student outcomes and long-term district strength.

A big part of that work has been taking the time to really understand what’s happening in our schools. We’ve reviewed student data and connected those insights to curriculum decisions. We’ve supported literacy work grounded in the Science of Reading, strengthened our approach to math and state assessments, and continued expanding academic opportunities for students through Honors and Advanced Placement courses and other programs.

We’ve also focused on supporting all learners—looking closely at MTSS and special education systems to make sure students are getting the support they need to succeed. The Board passed policy this year and had thoughtful, sometimes challenging conversations about issues families see every day, like the role of technology and personal devices in schools.

At the same time, we’ve stayed focused on responsible governance and long-term planning--this has meant building and refining district budgets for the past three years; tying those decisions back to student experience; and engaging in bigger-picture work like the One Campus Vision and broader strategic priorities. We’ve made a point to regularly review our goals, track progress, and adjust when needed so we stay aligned with what matters most.

I am proud to serve on the Falmouth School Board and it would be an honor to serve another term.
